Afghan leader Karzai vows inclusive government
Re-elected Afghan President Hamid Karzai vowed on Tuesday to form an inclusive government after stern warnings from Western supporters he would have to work harder to root out corruption.


Suicide bomber kills 35 near Pakistan's capital
A suicide bomb killed 35 people near Pakistan's military headquarters Monday while a second blast wounded several police, continuing a wave of terrorism that prompted the United Nations to suspend long-term development work near the Afghan border.


Breaking America's Silence on Pakistan
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton delivered an especially blunt, if long overdue, message to Pakistan last week.
